Chief Engineer & Senior Research Fellow, NREL Vahan Gevorgian joined NREL in October 1994 and has held multiple roles throughout his career. He currently serves as Chief Engineer at NREL’s Power Systems Engineering Center and is a Senior Research Fellow. His contributions to NREL’s research have been recognized through numerous industry awards. Vahan’s research focuses on the reliability of integrating high shares of variable generation, as well as modelling, control development, and testing of renewable generation and energy storage technologies. He is a Fellow of IEEE and holds a Ph.D. from the State Engineering University of Armenia. |
